For nearly thirty years, Hultman Interiors has been providing clients with timeless, well appointed interiors. We are a full-service, multidisciplinary design group, specializing in residential projects throughout the Low Country of southeastern Georgia and South Carolina, as well as across the country.
We believe our most important task is to guide our clients through the design process to represent their tastes and be reflective of their lifestyles. Utilizing an organic and collaborative design process, we work closely with our clients and other trade professionals to find creative custom design solutions.
Hultman Interiors also works in commercial design, including hospitality, restaurant and retail design. We have well established relationships with nationally recognized companies in an effort to create interior spaces that are budget conscious and reflective of brand identity.
Meet the Team:
Carolyn Hultman
Carolyn Hultman, Design Principal & Owner, established her love of design in Pittsburg, PA after graduating from Harrington College of Design. After raising a family of five, Carolyn and her husband moved to Savannah in 1992, opening her home goods shop, Ellis & Co, on Madison Square (featured in InStyle Magazine) while she grew her design business throughout the Low Country. Carolyn believes in the importance of guiding a client through the entire design process. This guidance, combined with a strong loyalty and dedication to her clients, has cultivated long-lasting relationships and a solid base of returning clients and consistent, word-of-mouth referrals. Carolyn is active in the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Historic Savannah Foundation.
Sara Hartley
Sara has been enthusiastically executing both residential and commercial projects since joining the Hultman Interiors team since 2009. She enjoys blending client requirements with a fresh take on classic design to explore the projects full artistic potential. With her keen attention to detail, she is able to combine open communication and strong collaboration to produce successful design. Sara holds a Master of Arts degree in Interior Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. She also gained invaluable experience working with an architecture firm in the Chicago, IL area. Now, she thrives on her time creating for her clients and relishes returning home each day to her husband and two children.
Margaret Bergmann
Margaret, a lifelong resident of Savannah, is delighted to join the team at Hultman Interiors. She is a dual-major graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design and Psychology. While at GSU, Margaret completed an internship in kitchen design and tackled her own full home renovation project working from the purchase of the home, through design and execution to the sale of the property. This early immersion into the industry allows Margaret to have the tools to navigate the creative design and management process to ensure clients dreams become a reality. Margaret loves organization and in her free time enjoys spending time with family and friends.
